Mmmm just made me some, so good when you are hungry as fuck. I don't think I've had this in at least 5 years.
I always knew it as Egg in the Frame growing up. But now I'm hungry and this sounds like a capital idea! Just made a couple of these... they hit the spot.
I make that all the time. It's one of my favorite late night stoner snacks. But I make my with garlic and cheese also. Edit: I also call it "Egg in a Basket". But it's sort of the pop/soda/cola/coke debate, it usually just depends where you're from.
I had a lot of these when I went backpacking so we just called it a "backpacking breakfast." Its so damn simple to make yet provides so many of the necessary breakfast nutrients, not to mention it tastes da bomb, some salt, pepper and a dab of ketchup.
^^ Yes... eggs in a basket was always our "camping breakfast" when I was growing up. Reserved for open camp fires only. The best part is the little toasted circle of bread.
