Edibles

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by Dan3065, Jul 1, 2019.

  1. Hi All,
New member here. I would very much appreciate what ever you can tell me about the latest on what people are making for a base for edibles. I have made cannabutter. What I would really like is to end up with edibles that will last a long time in the freezer.
I do not like the taste of alcohol so if the best way to go is with everclear 190, I would like to know how to get rid of the alcohol including the taste. And any good recipes Thank you.

  2. As an official taste tester of chocolate-chip cookies, I can attest that you can store them in the freezer. So, as applied to canna-butter, if you make said cookies (for example), I would imagine they would keep in the freezer ok?

  3. Butter stays in the freezer for months. Just take some out when needed. I like to use butter flavored crisp, because it comes with the forms reshape into a stick. Plush my wife’s cookie recipe uses it and they’re amazing

  4. I make brownies n freeze em. Cupecakes and pies just dont hold up. Decarbed ganja stored in the freezer lasts pretty much forever as does canna coconut oil or butter.

  5. Decarb first 240 F for 40 minutes (uncovered)

5 grams Kief, Hash, Concentrates, Powdered buds.
2.5 teaspoons Coconut oil ( any cooking oilk works)
1/2 teaspoons Lecithin ( promotes bioavailability)
    Heat 220 F for 20 minutes
Freeze (improves mouth feel for foods)
Heat 220 F for 20 minutes (Skip if you didn't freeze)
    Done

Fills 30 (0) sized capsules @ 83mg each with Kief
    25mg each with buds.
Start at 5-10mg and wait 2 hours before taking more.

The Capsules are very stable and store well for over a year even at room temps as does the oil itself.

Several members here on the city use this recipe with excellent results. Most have to throttle it way down for their personal use. Easy enough to short fill the capsules or use a smaller cap like a #4.
Once made the Cannabis oil can be added to the rest of the oil-butter called for in most baked goods, Blend well then add to dry ingredients and cook normally.

  7. Make chocolates and keep them in freezer or refrigerator. Very easy
3.5 grams flower to 100 grams chocolate

  8. I start out with distillate. I infuse 1 gram of distillate to 8 oz of any fat. Takes all the guess work out. Dosage calculation is a snap, too! Drawback: distillate is orderless and flavorless. Unless you get the flavored but I don't. This can be good and bad since some like the taste and smell. I like the consistency of it. I use the infused fat on everything. 2 teaspoons drizzled over you dinner and you will be very happy! Mine works out to about 25mg per teaspoon. Its self stable when you use olive oil or coconut oil. I keep my butter and bacon fat in the fridge

  9. <-- 5 grams of Kief in 1/2 ounce of oil.
Mine is a bit stronger then yours. I don't want all that oil in my diet. Max cannabis load possible.
400mg at a time currently. That is just 4-5 capsules the way I make it.
Try adding 1/6th of the oil amount as lecithin for more bang per gram. I feel it flat out doubles the strength and duration.

  10. Yes!!! I forgot to mention that I always add 2 teaspoons of lecithin. I'm still a newbie so send all the advice you have my way! Currently I'm using the dry. After finding this site I know I should be using the liquid form. I'll switch when I run out of the dry. And thanks for your feedback. As always, you're spot on!
