Edibles to medicate ADHD?

Discussion in 'Cannabis & Weed Edibles: Cooking & Recipes' started by erebusting, Mar 13, 2011.

  1. Just thought I'd share my ideas and maybe hear some of your ideas in response..... I used to have to take Ritalin, when I was younger, for ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyper Disorder)... then I stopped for a while because I did not like the feeling...then I was prescribed Adderal recently and did not really like those either...when I tried edibles, I noticed that they gave me a similar feeling and I liked it a lot better than those pills.... am I tripping when I think the edibles can help medicate my ADHD?....haha

  2. I smoke the herb for anxiety, depression and ADD so yes, you just gotta learn how to use the herb the way you need it, and be responsible.

  3. Agreed.

  4. I also agree, I thought it was just me... I don't like to get baked every time though... sometimes I like to mix an edible with some smoke... edibles seem to get me calmer than smoking, like if I smoke -I can still be kind of twitchy / hyper , but doing my work at the same time...like the other day I was typing this essay up (free writing) and there were some times where I could not stop moving my feet etc..... haha

  5. all in yo' head bruhh.

  6. yes and no... I have ADD and had no idea before I came on here that people used it for ADD sometimes and I could tell the difference... hey OP... does it make you feel less disconnected? I know when I smoke (and like you the edibles are better) I can start something and in 10 minutes I am not just struggeling to keep my mind on what I am doing... Better than ritalin thats for damn sure

    i have ADD/ADHD-I
i'm creative and always daydreaming/thinking and can only pay attention to things i find worth caring for, repetitive school work is stupid to me, weed just makes me more creative, and makes my thinking easier and more sorted out, i turn into a genius or some shit when im high, i don't sit down and laugh at stupid shit, i research stuff, like shamanism, music, physics, philosophy etc and can just read for hours so yeah i'd say it helps me but it doesn't change my attitude towards petty repetitive easy school work

  8. I take adderall at 6, then 12, smoke at 8 during the comedown to keep me concentrated and help with my appetite and sleep.

    Perfect schedule

  9. ritalin is nasty shit. i got diagnosed with adhd as well (but without the hyperactivity part..which is apparently not the same thing as ADD). But i find that weed just zones me out even harder usually, unless you get one of those very active and clear-headed strains.

  10. Wow! I have ADD as well and couldn't have said it better myself. Story of my life right there.
