Edibles hitting instantly. Placebo or real?

Probably A placebo effect?

 

I used to think I got that. And then I decided it was placebo.

 

Actually I can agree, all my edibles have definitely taken some time to kick in, but now that you mention it, there is a short little buzz right after ingestion huh?

A placebo effect, is when your mind makes you think you're feeling something, when physically, you aren't. A sugar pill for example, if told it could cure a headache might make the person's headache go away, because they are expecting it to.

 

Unless you mean what is a placebo, in which case you're probably not 18.

You think you're going to get super fucked ( not a completely unfounded thought ) so as soon as you take whatever it is you're taking you get a insta-buzz-ish type deal because you're just so excited to get high. Your brain jumps the gun and makes you feel good before the substance actually kicks in.

First time I tried shrooms I had an instant full body buzz for like 2 minutes. It went away, nothing for a while, then the real buzz kicked in which lasted for like 20 minutes, then I started tripping balls later that night.

The placebo effect, it's like with medicine, sugar pills and such, google it. I don't like typing a lot on the mobile app.

I once ate a 1g hash cookie + some canna butter smothered on top, on an empty stomach, that kicked in about 15 mins after digestion followed by greening out.

 

Its the hype, and the rush of things. Generally takes 35 minutes to an hour for Medibles

Come on, we can all get along here. I don't think the ban on other drugs is meant to stifle any mention of other drugs. I don't think entire discussions about other drugs are wanted. Please, if any mod want's to correct me please do, but how I understand it is if the mention of other said drug is being related to the current discussion, placebo effects of cannabis in this case, in order to discuss placebo effects it would be appropriate to mention placebo effects of other drugs as long as the discussion doesn't become about that drug. That is what I get from the forum guidelines anyway.
