Edible Tolerance

Discussion in 'Weed Edibles' started by skyel, Jul 15, 2018.

  1. Apologies if this isn’t the right place for this; I’m new here.

I’ve been using cannabis daily for about 4 months now, so I guess I’m still a relative beginner. I started with vaping and edibles, but about two months ago switched to smoking as my primary form of consumption, with occasional vaping and rare use of edibles. My edible tolerance has increased as I would expect it to; a dose of 10mg used to have baked for a little while, but I eventually worked my way up to a 50mg dose (although the one 50mg dose I took felt a bit too much for me, I was essentially too high to talk for about 6 hours before I decided to sleep it off). After that 50mg dose, I didn’t take edibles for a while, mostly because I had run out. About a month after that, I tried a 50mg dose and got no effects at all. I took a short tolerance break (about a week), and when I came back, I definitely noticed that the effects of flower were strengthened, but I still couldn’t get high off of edibles, this time with a 65mg dose. I know most experienced users probably average around 100mg or so for a dose, but it seems weird to me that in a short span, 50mg went from being a little too much for me to giving me no effects at all. I’ve yet to try another dose to see how much I actually need, but 100mg or more for every dose is a little cost prohibitive for me. Anyone have any tips (besides a total tolerance break) for lowering edible tolerance?

  2. Switch it up between smoking and edibles. Edibles do seem to take a good wear on your tolerance.
