what makes gambling on companies, or for a political correct term, 'investing' in a company completely super dope awesome shit and not frowned upon but going and throwing money down on cards is? I dont have much time to further elaborate my opinion, but it seems like a lot of our economy is based on a gamble anyways
Gambling is more closely associated with speculating. Investing is generally long-term. Nearly everything in life is a gamble.
