Ok so i just got the papers from my client and now i am a legal provider. I have decided to grow in my pad and i am going to use the ebb and flow hydroponic system only thing is they cost alot and id be willing to bet i can build one for less than half of what they cost pre-built. Does anyone know a site with directions that would help alot.
Build Your Own Hydroponics System | BGHydro Build a tray: a homemade flood table will be made of 3/4-inch plywood. anything smaller warps easily. assuming the table you want is 4x8... two 8 ft lengths of 1x4 or 1x6 should be nailed to the lengths of the plywood. One 8 ft length that is cut in half can be used for the short sides. the small sides are nailed together from the bottom of the plywood. Caulking should be applied along the nailed seems for extra waterproofing. find the place on the tray to drill holes that are the same size as the fittings you'll use for the overflow and pump. Line the newly nailed, caulked and 'holed' tray with 2 layers of 6mm black poly plastic making sure it is flat on the bottom and sides, then staple or secure somehow. cut the plastic somewhat away from your thru-hull fittings to prevent water from getting in between the layers of plastic. place on top of something that can hold it... I think cement blocks at my local home depot are $1.50. Use 8. 3 along the sides from corner to corner and 2 to support the center.
Congrats on becoming legal!! How much are you looking to produce? An ebb & flow might be too much trouble if you are only growing a few plants. Consider soil or even hempy buckets for less than 10 plants.
