have tested a new way of getting air to the roots.as well as running a airstone in the res. i have aquired from a aquarium store,blue air tubes with several holes along them.these are joinable to make any length and they come with rubber suction cups attached.so what i do is run them in my tray beside my planted pots timed to start bubbling when my tray is in flood.this really seems to be improving on plant growth!!!! hope this is of help to someone!!!
thats a kool idea. Oxygen being added to the water while the tray is flooded should be helpful. Thanks for sharing that innovative idea.
