I'd like to create my own ebb and flow setup... is it possible to grow a plant in a 1 gallon bucket with a lid, and the lid having a netpot with a small amount of hydroton in it for a rooted plant with rockwool to go into? The bottom of the bucket would have a line go in to flood the 1 gallon bucket, and to drain it periodically. I'm just wondering if it would work... It's very similar in design to the ebb and gro system you can buy, except i don't want to fill up the entire 1 gallon container with hydroton, so im adding a lid and netpots to limit the grow medium, but retain the ebb and flow setup thoughts?
