eating weed vs smoking weed

Discussion in 'Beginner Cannabis Consumption & Tips' started by ryanpeppers, Nov 10, 2010.

  1. when it comes to being high via editbles what is the difference between smoking and eating?

  2. Eating weed will almost always get you higher, and I find that it is a much trippier high (almost like you're mildly tripping).

You do have to be careful though, give it up to 2 hours to fully kick in, don't make the mistake of eating another brownie, and another, and another. OR else you'll find yourself nauseous, paranoid, and worst of all, couch-locked.

Smoking I like better because it's instant gratification - bam... I'm high... and it's more of a contemplative philosophical high (imo), as opposed to an "omg I'm so effed up right now" high.

So I guess you just need to decide which one of those sounds more appealing to you =]

EDIT: By eating weed I meant eating something that has been made with cannabutter or something of the like... never eat weed raw, you will waste it and not feel a damn thing!

  3. i eat edibles when i'm on my way places.. i smoke when i'm at home/already at the place and didn't eat an edible on the way.

rohto really summed it all up as for the experience. I just love edibles for vacations or theme parks.

  4. For me, it's speed and intensity vs. duration.

Smoking, I can get really high, really quickly...for about 45 minutes. Then I start coming down, and two hours later, I'm stone sober.

Edibles, it takes an hour or two, but once I'm high, I'm floating for at least three hours, and coming down for a half-day or more.
