Eating Vaped Weed Straight?

    I've read about people eating weed that's already been vaped straight and getting a decent high from it. (The THC 's already been heated and thus decarbed) But I've tried it twice eating about a gram rolled up in a piece of tissue and swallowing it like a pill, but nothing happens. Am I not eating enough? Should I eat someting fatty with it? Or should I just give up and cook it?
