Eating too much...

  1. I just woke up with one of the two pizza slices I made very late last night, on my lap. My mouth still tastes like the other one.

    So I smoked a bowl right after dinner and as usual I get the overwhelming munchies. I run about 4 miles a day and like to think I am in pretty good shape, but some mornings after I smoke I have a stomach ache from cramming food into my mouth all night.

    Last night it was (after steak) 3 brownies, a Reeses Klondike bar, Tostitos and salsa, pizza, and a crap load of soda and lemonade. I may be forgetting something. There have been worse nights too, though...

    Anyone have techniques they use for curbing their bear-like appetite after they smoke? I think the only reason I don't have a six pack is because of these munchies!!! :yummy:
     
  2. First of all, eating at night is one of the worst things to do. It takes your body around 3 hrs to digest your food, so you shouldn't lie down for this amount of time after you eat.


    The munchies are all in your mind. You aren't REALLY hungry, it is just a trick your body is playing on you. In your mind, realize this truth. "I am not hungry, it is just the herb talking".


    If you must eat munchies, try eating healthy food like fruits, veggies, whole grain bread, sorbet, etc


    Most of all, DRINK WATER. I don't know how much I can stress this. One of your body's reactions to dehydration is making you feel hungry; a lot of times hunger pangs will go away just by drinking an 8 oz glass. Also, it cures the cottonmouth, so it can't be all that bad!


    Hopefully this morning's rude awakening will be a lesson:

  3. Hahahaha. The munchies. I love the munchies.

    I gained around 10-15 pounds when I first began smoking and I had to quickly learn to cut that shit out.

    Rumandromanism is right. Drink tons of water. It helps so much. Also, try to eat like apples or grapes. They taste fucking brilliant and they are quasi-healthy.
     
  4. Try eating before you smoke that helps my muchies. I know how you feel I do the same thing I eat and eat and eat till my stomach hurts.
     
  5. I know exactly what you're saying. I always seem to eat way too much while high. I just don't eat while high anymore and if I do I only eat a little and limit myself.
     
  6. Chemotherapy. Ever since I went through that, my appetite has been 1/2 of what it was stoned, and 1/4 of what it was sober.

    Since thats not possible, (and I hope none of you will ever have it made possible through cancer diagnoses) your just gonna have to be more carefull to not eat so much.
     
  7. Alright then tonight I really make an effort to cut down on the munchies. I have said that in the past - it's just I lose all my will after I smoke and things just taste and feel so good in my mouth.. mmm... fooood. Okay thanks for your tips everybody!
