this is the dumbest argument. I took a drive down to the atm with my bud and he claims that "Eating weed (like just picking it out of the bag) will get you high". I said no, it wont, you have to bake it (butter, oil). Then he calls this walking encyclopedia and he asks him, and the guy says "ya, it will get you high. they sell these cookies with an 8th in them and it gets you ripped!" now are these guys just complete deuchebags or am i the dumb fuck? I always thought you had to extract it via heat.

You need to eat a lot more than you would smoke. Fill up 2 gelcaps of kif and pop them both and tell me you dont feel anything. Well... you might not feel anything b/c you'll be mashed out of your skull. Ever hear the "Tale of the Hashish Eater"? Heat only transfers THC into a different form. It doesnt "activate" it. THC just has to get to the receptors in your body in order for you to feel it. WHen you cook it, you're just transferring the THC into the fat (butter, oil, etc). The molecules just release from the plant and bind to the fat. You still eat it and it still goes into the same receptors. Most people dont eat straight buds because you would get farther just smoking em. Some do believe, however that the herb is best left completely natural and should be ingested naturally without any other elements. (eg. Free Rob Cannabis)
