Early Harvesting Questions on light cycles

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by wheelchairwilly, Dec 8, 2006.

  1. I want to have my plants done drying by Christmas. I have two big bushy (FIMed) carmella clones in flower. Breeder states 7-9 weeks. I started w/ 12/12 for two weeks, and by week three was down to 10/14. Now it is week four, and I have stayed at 15. Should I continue to back off the lights for the next 2.5 weeks to finish them up? (8/16 for a week, then 6/18 last week). Also, I plan to girdle one in the next week and flush both a few days thereafter. (2 week coco flush too much??) I would like the up of a early indica, but not sure on the lighting and. Am I too excited to girdle and flush? Is two weeks to much for coco? Thanks

  2. Well, it's growing balls so I am going to cut the light 15 min a day and start the flush, I girdled last night, damn hermies.

  3. i hate to break it to you but how often do you see 6/18 in nature? I try optimize my conditions to that nature gives

  4. i also have plants i would like to finish faster than norml
im not changing shit till i hear someones advice
    right now its on 12\12

6\18 is like up in alaska or farther north

  5. There's some excellent bud that comes from up north so it might be interesting to play with the light cycles and see how short you can cut the cycle w/o affecting crop.

  6. towards the end of the life cycle there is nothing wrong with cutting the light back to 11/13, 10/14, 9/15, or 8/16. my last grow i did just that for the last two weeks, cut it an hour a day. worked great.
