Dying Plant?? Someone Help Me!!

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by WW_NY, Jun 13, 2006.

  1. Whats going on peoples. My first post and my first grow. I have 3 white widows under a 400w hps lighting. Im growing hydroponically. I have an air stone set up. The plants were growing fine untill one day my air pump failed on me. the roots werent getting any oxygen for 2 days. I got the new air pump and the plant is still living. the stem is still green and the on the leaves the tips are yellow. Is there any way to fix this problem? I germinated these seeds 3 months ago. I keep my Ph balanced to 6.5-6.9. I also used miricle grow and some epsom salt. I dont want to waste this grow. your advice would be GREATLY APPREICIATED. Thank you.

  2. I don't grow hydro, but in general there is certain damage that cannot be undone. If the leaf tips have turned yellow they probably won't come back (the tips, that is) but the rest of the leaf and plant could do fine. How long since this happened?

Just keep growing at this point and let the plant try to recover. Hydro growers may have some other specific advice.

Also, you have pH for soil, I believe for hydro it should be 0.5-1.0 lower. But don't take my word for it, let's hear from some hydro growers.

  3. what method of hydroponics are you using?i use an fired clay pellet ebb & flow that feeds for 15 min every three hours.i use three foot snake air diffusers.i supliment with h202/hydrogen peroxide to ensure plenty of air to the root system.your ph level looks to be optimal for a hydro set up.
