well, first off, I hope you looked into DXM and robotripping before you took the plunge, because the wrong brand of syrup and your toast friend.

Firstly your best bet is Robitussin DM.... you only want syrup with Dextromethorphan (DXM, DM) in it. Anything else and you could be in for some shit.

Secondly, it doesn't really mean much concerning which brand you took, more so how much of the substance you've taken..so you wont get many answers on here unless you tell us the amount (in MGs) you took..

check your bottle for active ingredients...

Acetaminophen- ("tylenol") horrible for the liver, especially in numerous doses...unless your a frequent pill popper and have built up a tolerance to tylenol then you could seriousely fuck your shit up.

Guaifenesin- an expectorant...(loosens your mucus)...too much and you'll have a lovely evening full of splitting headaches, nausea and for dessert..vomitting up the contents of your stomach until all you have left are the "dry heaves"..

Doxylamine Succinate- This is an antihistamine, usually found in the night time syrups,because it causes drowsiness...and coma in larger doses.

pseudoephedrine- decongestant, think of it as shitty speed..you'll be antsy and restless if you take too much of this.

If your syrup has much more than a minute dose of guaifenesin or pseudoephedrine along with the DXM then i'd suggest you pass it up (unless its already in your stomach)..

As for how much DXM you'll need to trip...you can find out on www.Erowid.org in their DXM vault...but keep in mind theres no such thing as an absolute threshold and all the doses you'll come across are approximations only and you'll never know your personal threshold without starting small and building up.

 

Hey guys. I just swiped a pack of DexAlone gelcaps today. I have 10 gels with 30mg DXM in each. I was wondering if 5 gels (150mg) would be enough to have a good effect? I weigh around 60kg, so it would be about 3mg/kg. I think I read somewhere that first plateau is 2.5-2.7mg/kg. Any help is aprectiated, as I kinda want to try this stuff tomorrow.....

 

I think you'd be fine on 150mgs, maybe even less if its your first time. you can increase the amount in future doses

 

Personally, I use Robitussin Maximum Strength Cough.

 

yea robo max strength is better cuz it got more dxm so u dont have to drink as much nasty ass syrup n fuck up ur liver AS much.
