DWC Help

Discussion in 'Advanced Growing Techniques' started by Mustachio8, Dec 10, 2007.

  1. I recently made my first foray into hydro with a DWC system with a 6 gallon resevoir. I started off with 3 seedling started in rockwool. I already culled one that was struggling. My question is whether I should cull another or whether my system is big enough to handle both plants( they are both growing by leaps and bounds daily) Growing space is not really an issue. Also any other hints or advice dealing with DWC would be much appreciated. Cheers.

  2. If I had culled the one that was struggling in my first batch, I would have culled the only female of four seeds.

Right now, with two seedlings, you have a three in four chance of at least one of them being female. If you cull one, you reduce your odds to 50-50.

  3. i dont really understand your question Mustachio8 6 gallons os plenty of root splace for one or maybe two plants, each one of my ladies gets her own 5 gallon bucket, DWC is the way to grow imho, the growth rates are explosive, and they seem to be more forgiving than anything ele ive tried. i def. would not want more that 2 plants pre 6 gallon rez.

  4. My question was mostly whether or not 6 Gallon would give enough root space for 2 plants. Thanks for the help.
