After a failed first attempt at dwc from seed I have got me one going now from clone. Last night after about a week under the dome it had a couple little tap roots sticking out of it so I dropped it in dwc and got a tap root allready this morning.
Roots are coming out like crazy hope I can keep it going I will be using a shit budget line nute, botanicare cns. In the tent right now i have 3 photo plants in soil and the clone which is from the m.m. is in dwc. I have 2 strains mag mile landrace and frisian dew by dutch passion, they have been vegging forever but I didnt get them going very good till about a month and a half ago. Here is a pic I will take some with the camera for better quality later.
Check out my latest grow journal. There is a grow chart\instructions to using master blend combo. Cheapest I have ever seen and it made me switch from a long time user of gh 3 part. 38 bucks I think for the combo, it will last you 2 years, then silica and flower fuel is last ingredients.
You are starting to get the rot I think. Great White helps, pull the plant out, soak in h2o2 for a few minutes every day till you get the Great White.
PH and PPM's are critical in DWC. What is your running right now? What is the water temp? Cover that cube with something or algae will start. Take a white election sign, cut in a square the size of the bucket lid. Cut that in half and then right in the center, cut out half a small diamond shape. Do for both sides of the signs. Push that right up to the plant on both sides, no light will penetrate. If light hits your water, you will grow the root rot too. Make sure the buckets are light proof. The sign thing is perfect
see how the plants looks like its got some deficiencies going on. This can be root rot, PH, PPM's to high or you aint mixing your nutes properly. At least switch to GH 3 part or AN 3 part for nutes. Very easy for a new guy. Oh and tap water will kill your plants sometimes. My water has clorimines in it, and it can't be used or that is what happens to me. I have to run RO water. 60 bucks for a portable that hooks to the water hose on ebay or amazon. What is your water temp? That is important too. Seems like a lot of work, but hydro out grows dirt 2 or 3 to one.
Well now - theres “dirt” and then theres organic soil based on quality compost at which point i beg to differ. J
You running the cns17 line? If so its not bad. I can say i hate the consistency of it as its really thick but habe yet to hit a deficiency
Just a couple picks I added a little cal mag and veg nutes, she is looking a healthier green color now.
I started from seed straight into a Rockwool cube and a 6 in net pot bubble bucket with no germination and used my tap water that was horrible, also just alot of inexperience. Lol
