Been gone for about a year after my last attempt failed. I've decided to try again. I'm still doing bubble bucket method
My products this time are as follows.
VIPARSPECTRA 450W (equivalent) 200W (actual power)
    Root Riot plugs
    Seedling tray, dome, and mat
    I have a 3 and 5 gallon bucket
EcoAir 44 GPH rated air pump
    Botanicare CNS17 Grow
    Botanicare CNS17 Bloom
GH Maxi Gro dry. From last grow (is 1 year too old?)
GH PH down from last grow (is 1 year too old?)
    29% H2O2
Trans Instruments PH Meter 1484096807297-444938379.jpg 1484096957443-1891809251.jpg

I have been spraying with phed drinking water about 2-3 times a day. One seed was disoriented and deeper than the others so she's off to a rough start. I pulled the shell off another about an hour ago. Another seedling has yellowing cotyledons I originally had them under 2 cool white cfls but my led light came in the mail today so I hooked it up. I have it at about 34" from my seedlings on veg mode. Is that too close?Currently awaiting my grow tent in the mail. The hydro shop I went to recommended H2O2 over hydroguard. I explained I didn't have a plant yet to even get root rot. I only want assistance with root development and root rot PREVENTION. This goes against what I've read around the web and would like someone to weigh in. I plan on using sodium thiosulfate to neutralize chloramine in my tap water as I've seen others do it with success. My tap water is @45 ppm out of the faucet. Not sure which fertilizer i'll use for veg. Should I start nutes at 1/4 strength yet? Should I transplant yet? Here of is a pic of Tha ladies. all input and advice welcome. I accept that I am learning.

Oddly enough the shortest seedling, the one that took longest to sprout has the longest root. When do I transplant to bubble bucket. Should a use a drip system in my dwcwith these root riot plugs. I still have my humidity dome on both vents half open is this OK. Not sure what the humidity is inside but the humidity outside is 87% I've had my thermostat in the house set to 75-80. Going to buy a humidity/ thermometer tomorrow. 1484100637686-324807277.jpg

  4. Hey guys looking for some input. My seedlings have no new noticeable root growth over the past 24 hours. Is this abnormal at this point. They all have a root tail poking out about 1/8- 1/4 inch at the bottom. The very tip of some of them are changing color slightly. Like a redish brown tint.

  5. Allidoistalkyay grows in the bubble buckets and is very successful growing in several different mediums. He is experienced and helpful. All, Crankz, Toke, Stoner, NeeF and others will be happy to help you! I don't have much experience myself, but these cats do! You're gonna do fine bro!

  6. I'd go ahead and get em into the dwc with 1/8 - 1/4 strength. Whatever gets you around 250-300 ppm. Plant them as deep in the netpots as you can. Have the water level right at the bottom of the netpots or at a level that provides enough moisture to the hydroton and rooter to keep them moist but not saturated. Especially the rooters. If they get too wet, roots will struggle.
Light should be ok up high. If they stretch a bunch, lower it some. No need for a dome with that high of RH.

  7. Much thanks both of you for your input. Another question I have is at this stage of growth should i be using hydroguard or H2O2? I read not to use them at the same time.

  8. I don't use h2o2, but no reason you couldn't use up what you have and basically run a sterile res this grow.
I like hydroguard, but I also chill my res. Plus I use barley extract for enzymes.

  9. I don't use peroxide either, but hydroguard works great once roots are established and feeding from your res, if you're worried about trouble down there. If you pot them now like Crankz said, you really shouldn't need any additives yet.

Finally had the time to get them into the dwc. I did something different and put 2 smaller net pots in one lid for a 5 gal bucket and built a divider for the res. If I decide to keep both, then later in life transplant to a 15 gal by simply making a hole in the lid of the 15 gal to rest the 5gal lid into an build a divider for that rea. If I decide it's not worth it, or one is a male, I can remove a plant and it's root system. It's just a theory I hope will work. I plan to lean them away from each other I'm not sure of the name of the training technique. I think LST. The tent hasn't arrived yet ant with my setup I couldn't get my led's any higher. Therefore I decide to revert back to cfl's for the day. I won't have the time to set up the tent and the dwc tomorrow so I comprised. Hopefully all goes well.

  11. Got the tent set uplights in have the pumps in the tent out of the tray for electical safety. I'm in a tiny place so I'm comprimising. I have 1 seedling still not transplanted. I don't have the supplies right now but I don't feel like abandoning her. I labeled the others as the strain of the bag I got em from. Idk what pollinated them. Here are pics for now

  14. Finally got some roots coming from my 2 tiny net pots. It felt really good to see that, because in my last grow attempt I didn't even see any roots coming from my rockwool Cube.

  15. As a newb I may have been over thinking this. I had a 5 gal bucket lid with x2 2" net pots in them. With my theoretical knowledge, I came to a conclusion that my lid setup wasn't ideal. I realized my level of hydroton couldn't get high enough to blackout all light from the reservoir. The small size of the net pot wouldn't provide enough stability for a decent sized plant or its root ball. With that knowledge in mind, I decide to transplant one seedling to a royal gold tupur mix and the other to a bigger net pot in the same bucket. Since the netpots where so small, I was able to be super careful using a pair of tweezers to remove one pebble at a time to minimize root damage and recovery time. Will take pictures during the next light cycle but here is a pic of the RR plug in the 2" net pot for reference. 14849117055121052729148.jpg

  17. 1485111964225-219512057.jpg Saw this and looked it up. Saw tiny webs by the cotelydons. Sure sign I got them mites. Bout to get some neem oil. This particular seedling has been thru the most. Late start due to planting too deep. Water level too high causing over watering. Now spidermites. Last night I changed all the res's and cleaned em with a light bleach solution. Had a bacteria build up in them due to light leaks and too high Temps in res. I made a cardboard duct tape barrier to block the light out. Considering I planted my seeds on Jan 4th and my seedling being off to such a bad start, would I be better of gEttinger a clone or keep going with this one. Here's pics of them all. I'm sure there's more wrong but I'm no expert any suggestions or insights greatly appreciated. 1485112672642294892136.jpg 1485112703310581584970.jpg 1485112779327-1043232247.jpg 1485112800601-1701919106.jpg 1485111964225-219512057.jpg

  18. Doing good, but have you ever heard of growing Hempy Bucket style? I grew DWC the first time and did great (12 oz 4 plants) but on my second grow and third I'm going hempy all the way and there are definitely advantages of Hydro DWC but none of the disadvantages. But if you're naturally tinkering like it looks like you might be if anything you may get bored but at least you wouldn't mess it up and in the end you have a lot to harvest.

  19. I had the fukin borg mites last year and found that a 3 pronged approach is most common. I used azamax, then spinosad a week later, and neem. They are very persistant. I recommend cleaning your tent really well when you think they are gone. I hear that clones are the most common cause. I got them from taking my plants outside a couple times a week to get sun. They stay in the tent these days!

  20. Your Grow Looks Exquisite dude. Your right I am the tinkering type of guy. I haven't looked into hempy at all. But I sure will during this grow for my nextone.
