Ducting keeps getting disconnected?

  1. I'm running a carbon filter/fan through an aircooled 1000 watt light. I have used aluminum tape attaching the ducting to the fan and to the light, then out the tent, and for some reason the ducting from the fan to the aircooled light keeps getting disconnected, not allowing for proper and much needed ventilation.

Any tips or guidelines to avoid this?
This happened twice today, each time making the temperature 95-100 degrees. I have to turn the light off, let it cool down and re-attach the ducting taking at least an hour. This process can't be healthy on the plants.

  2. Use a zap-strap on the flanges, or gorilla glue or something. shouldn't be a hard fix in my mind....

You should order the zap straps^ with the light. Make sure there aren't any bends. Pull the ducting apart completely its as cylindrical as possible. Then, squish together a portion of it and pull it on the port. Don't flatten the ruffles in the bunch, it makes for a tighter fit

Thought zap straps were a fancy name for whats below. That is what I have.
