There are different ways, but an approved one is first to remove all the fan leafes en manicure the small leafes protruding(sp?) from the buds. Then cut the plant right above the medium and hang the whole plant upside down at a piece of rope. Leave it for a day or ten in a dark place and DON'T apply any extra heat. A DISTANT oscillating fan can be helpfull to prevend mold. If you bend a branch and it makes a snapping sound, the buds are ready to smoke. Store in an airtight container (jar) at a cool and dark place and give the buds some air every day in order to further enhance taste and potency. Peace.
personally i cut all the bud off as soon as i have cut the plant down.then i spread it all out on a sheet of wall paper week later your ready to go!!!
