Drying Trimmings in the oven

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by Daleisneat, Dec 12, 2012.

  1. So this batch of trimmings I received was a little bit on the wet side, i believe it all needs to be dried before beginning my bho process. I have a few friends i could visit to use their oven to dry. What temperature should I be using and how long should I be leaving the material in the oven?

  2. I've dried trimmings and bud suspended over a wood stove on an oven rack, but never in the oven, sounds risky.

  3. You'll end up activating all thc and cbd on the trimmings If you use an oven.. Just let it hang and dry

  4. alright thanks

  5. A friend of mine had accidentally spilled water on his bud. He put it in a sock and put the sock in the clothes dryer. He claimed it worked like a charm... But, sounds a bit sketch.

  6. That's disgusting clean sock or not, I'm not smoking foot weed.

  7. First off, whoop whoop:hello:.as for the question id just dry it in a cool dark place.

  8. You will evaporate the THC right out of the trimmings. Let it dry naturally

  9. LOL at all the people saying you will evaporate the THC. It's common practice to decarb weed in the over before making edibles or BHO. Just keep the temps at the very lowest setting. 200 or less should be fine.

By fully drying the product you will get less chlorophyll and other crap in your end product. It will taste, burn, and look cleaner.

  10. Are you making progress?

  11. WHOOP WHOOP!!! :smoking: thats whats up cause thats where i got the bag chillin right now, in a basement wood shop. It's probably around 5 maybe 10 pounds and everyones getting hella sketched thinking its gonna mold and plus we wanna dab for days but yea ill let the bag chill for now I guess. Maybe if i go over it with a blow dryer it might speed up the process.

  12. Im posted up at my place for the night gonna head over to that part of town tomorrow, might be using the oven after all. It was just a bill for the bag and i got 3 other people in on it so either way its not to big a loss. I'll try to remember to post how it goes.
