Dry time

    My drying area where I hang my bud the humidity is 51% and temp is about 80* is that ok for 10 days?I have a fan in the room.

    I personally like to shoot for 65°-70°

    Its just been so hot here I grow in my upstairs kitchen where I really can’t control the temp.Its supposed to cool down a lot this weekend finally.Should be 10-15* cooler.What do you think?And thanks for responding so quick ✌

    80f is a bit high. The most volatile terpenes off gas at 70f. If you lower the temp, you'll preserve more smell, and it will dry slower. Makes for a better smoke. That said, I've had some goodish results with sub par temp/rh.

    At that temp and humidity it'll be dry in 3 or 4 days.

    Will I lose a lot of good taste and potency this way???

    Yes on taste and terps. Don’t know about potency.
    I would ditch the fan. It will help slow the process quite a bit.

    U will be too dry at 10 days. U need like 65 Rh to go 10 days

    Had a cold front come in.The room is 51% humidity and temp is 67’ now…

    60/60 rule… temp in the 60s and humidity in the 60s and let it got 10-14 days hang.
