Not often I try not to do it but overall like 5 times, 2 i was really smashed and once I had to open my car window and yack while driving. But they were all solo missions I wouldnt drive drunk if I had a passenger/s
Never. I did back in my stupid days of being 18 and 19 but I ended up with a dwi so I stopped that horse shit. Ironically the DWI was not for alcohol, but just for smoking bud on my birthday 2 years ago. Fuck it though, that is the past, I turn 21 in a couple weeks and I can't fuck that up. No driving after more then 1 beer for me, I can't afford another DWI
i've done it once. it was about 3AM and i had to drive a pickup truck full of about 12 people 5 miles into town because they were all tripping balls and i was just drunk (believe me, i pointed out the irony here). thankfully at that hour, the roads in that town were completely deserted and i wasn't that drunk, but it was not a fun experience in the least. i had to go about 10 miles into town driving down narrow as shit roads right next to water and shit. got everyone home safely though, so that's a positive i suppose. that was when i was 16 or 17 and i havent driven drunk since- even when i got a dui i hadn't been drinking. as for how i feel about it, i don't think people should do it. but obviously people aren't going to stop just because i think they should stop. so until i get hit by one of them, i just live and let live.
it takes a certain amount of ignorance and douchebaggery to put everyone else's lives and your own at risk on the road because you decided to impair your ability and get behind the wheel of a fast and powerful multi-ton machine. my answer is never. i'm not the only person on this planet.
Many many times between the ages of 18 and 25 or so..... trust me not worth it..... to me it seems like a lot of ppl kinda shrug it off, and I have mixed feelings on the 'legal limit' as it is currently (vs. no tolerance). Live and learn I suppose, everyone likes to have a good time, it's not worth it to put your life, friends' lives, or strangers' lives at risk to do so. The more you drink the more you can convince yourself 'I'm not thaaaat drunk...", your brain kind of tricks you. Also what people don't realize is that anyones body can only process about a drink an hour, so those that are slamming back drinks, it takes a significant time to actually reach the level of drunkenness associated with how much you've actually drank...
Often enough. It always makes me laugh when people insult drunk drivers. Its not like having a few causes you to lose all motor function and reasoning, and completely obliterates your ability to drive. It takes an awful lot to get to yhhat point. So its not really like you're putting everyone in any more danger than normal, like you would be if you drove around shooting a gun randomly out the window. But think of the children! A friend brought up a good point the other day, although I can't attest to the validity. He claimed that drinking and driving was much more prevalent in eastern Europe, and therefore they have less accidents because theyre mmore experienced with it, unlike the us where its frowned upon and therefore not practiced.
Well. Technically. I mean I drive all the time buzzed after a few drinks. But If I don't feel comfortable enough to drive then I wont. And it's usually only ever driving down the street to walmart or something. I did drive blackout drunk a few halloweens ago. Though I was extremely lucky and the drive was ten minutes down a back country road. And I only encountered one other car on my way home. I actually pulled over two or three times to throw up out the window. I still feel grateful nothing bad happened and will never be doing it again. Unless some end of the world or war shit happens. Then fuck it Im getting out of here.
Never I wouldn't take my car if I knew I was going to be drinking and if I end up drinking unexpectedly I just take a taxi home and pick the car up the next day
I drive buzzed everynow and again, but then again I live in BFE and only see a non-local drive through about once a month.
I was always way too scared to drive even buzzed before I turned 21. Since then I have probably drove under the .08 limit half a dozen times or so. I don't have a breathalyzer but I wont drive if i've had more than 2-3 beers. DUI's are serious news I don't even wanna fuck with that.
When I was younger I'd risk it all the time. These days I'm calling cab! Had two CLOSE calls in one day. Ya on the same trip... Passed the field test. He wanted to search my car, which I allowed. After this was done we had a laugh and he let me go. After I got to where I was going I decided NEVER to drive and drive again. It's not everyday a cop lets you pour out your gin/tonic and continue on your way... Needless to say, im convinced these officers wanted to bust kids with drugs and didn't care about drinking...
I drive buzzed maybe once a month or so. I can count on one hand how many times I've drove home drunk. One of them was an extreme circumstance though. I was woken up at 3 a.m., cops were called, rumor of some kid driving drunk and wrecking.....everyone was in shambles scrambling out the door. I got in my car by myself, and began to drive. I was close to blackout drunk, had you given me 2-3 more drinks. I passed one cop entering the neighborhood as I was exiting. Passed another cop on that road, probably on the way to the party. Passed a 3rd cop camping about a half mile from my destination. Finally got to my neighborhood pool parking lot and passed out in my car. Not proud, but not saying it wasn't worth it.
When i was 16 up until I turned 18 I didn't realize it but I was a pretty bad alcoholic. My senior year I drank almost every day, along with working I drove drunk all the time without ever thinking twice. Over tht shit
