    How much marijuana do you need to be caught with, in the United States (Michigan), before a Possession charge is increased to a Drug Trafficking charge?

    nothing. All states have some sort of program (they call them different things though, around here its called PTI... pre-trial intervention) that tries to rehabilitate the young offender.

    Basically they make you do a few hours of community service or attend a few drug classes, and take 2-3 random piss tests for about 3 months and then the state will drop the case. This means no fine too... but you will have to pay 20-30 bucks for each drug test.
