Hey, One of my two plants currently under (2) 23 watt 6500k and (1) 65 watt 4100k light http://forum.grasscity.com/grow-journals/213148-ownage-al-s-indoor-cfl-grow.html#post2306585 YESTERDAY TODAY Thanks for looking, Would you say it's over watering? I tried to let the one soil dry out a little bit more, but still noticed the drooping and gave it some water. Let me know
the 4100K lamp is doing you no good. You need more light and less water. Other than that, they look pretty good. Good luck with it!
dude your plants look fine.. there is no signs of stretching so obviously there getting enough light for now.. Your prob gonna have to get better CFLS in a couple weeks
*sigh* well you obviously cant really tell from the one picture i suppose. The cool white cfl, WILL do things, because i dont know how you can say that.... Look at metal halide's color spectrum of bulbs... there around 4000-4200k.... so yeah, I will get pics up of a side view, by tonight so you can see.
i was wondering why my plants are drooping? both seedlings are healthy looking plants, but they just started to droop? any reasons why?
Yes. If it is still sturdy, but drooping it is an overwatering issue. Your light is fine. 4100k is just fine. Let the soil dry out completely before your next watering. Invest in a moisture meter. If in the states, Homedepot has them. Otherwise order one online. It will be of great help to you. But by all means, stop watering it, no misting either. Should be at least a week until that baby plant need water, maybe more. Always use something for good drainage when growing cannabis in soil or soiless mix such as perlite. It will improve root aeration and drainage. Make sure your planter is not on a cold floor, this will slow down the water uptake of the plant. Raise it up on a piece of styrofoam so the roots are closer to grow room temp, but do not use a heat mat, those are for cloning, young plants need cool beds, but not cold. In short (providing everything else is being done right) A plant that is still stiff but the leaves are droopy, it is an over watering issue If the plant is limp and the leaves are droopy, it is a heat or underwatering issue. Drainage is key to not suffocating the roots. When overwatering happens, it actually slows down the water uptake of the plant, and makes roots mushy, and that is when soil pathogens take over. The reason I say to get the moisture meter, is that when new growers are told of over watering, they tend to take it a little too easy on the water, and have problems the other way. Watering soil plants is a balancing act between dry and wet. But it is important for the soil to dry between waterings, and when you water, make sure around 10% of your solution drains out the bottom.
hey, thanks a lot for the response. This reply that you made was very helpful to my situation. My seedlings are healthy and very green , but the leafs are drooping now. Investing in a moisture meter might be a good idea. Thanks a lot
