Hi. My autoflowers are 3 weeks into flower, at 20/4 under cfls, in 1.5 gal Ocean Forest. Just noticed some severe drooping/wilting of the lower leaves only, no discoloration, just serious wilting. The two plants showing the wilt were ready for a watering, but weren't extremely dry. I mean they were dry and needing water, but I've been letting my babies dry out like this with no problem (5 days since last watering). I could see a slight wilt in the upper leaves, which I look for as one sign of them being ready for a watering. When I watered them it ran right through, like the soil couldn't hold it - is this a sign of underdeveloped or diseased roots? I am fighting a fungus gnat infestation, using neem/pyrethrin on the soil and potato slices. They are a little more numerous than on my previous grow, but nothing too alarming, although I worry the larvae are damaging the roots. My other girls look great under the same conditions. I don't have a camera, but like I said it's lower leaves totally wilted, without any discoloration. Any help/thoughts/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Drooping before; they're in the dark now so I'm not sure if they recovered any. Most of the wilting leaves were pretty much dead anyhow, or hanging down in the soil so I cut them off. pH I dunno, I just use distilled water (I've got acidic tap water) and feed with General Organics every other.
Yah, I do believe you're correct. They look much better now. This is only my second go at it and I just haven't seen that complete wilt of the leaves before, was worried it might be a fungus or something. Cheers!
