hi all i have been in the flowering stage for about 3-4 weeks now and when my light comes on it gets really hot in my room so i put the extracter on and the fan an i manage to get it back down to roughly 27c, but after a while my leaves all seem to droop anyone no why??? most of the big leaves have been took off due to turning yellow, when the light goes off and then first comes back on they are all normal looking and then as soon as the light has been on above an hour they droop again.. its not too hot at the top of the plant as it does not burn my hand.. please help asap i dont want them to die
Hi there... I would like to know about your light (what type), ventillation, humidity, how and when you water them and your strain... these all probably factor into the equation somewhat and would give us a better picture of what's going on... Is this your first grow? new method? different soil?... so many possibilities...
this is my first time growing, i am growing in a grow tent 1.35 metre square 2 metres high.... i am using a 400 watt hps sodium light it is roughly 60 cm away from the tops of plants its just an heat issue i think because i have opened up the tent door and the heat is back down to 24- 25 and the leaves have all lifted back up firm... so it looks like they are going to be alright...
i am a first time grower, i am using a 400 watt hps sodium light roughley about 60cm away from the tops of the plants, i am growing inside a 1.35 by 2metre tall grow tent... i think it was just an heat issue as i left the door on the tent open and the leaves are now standing back up firm... looking good if i do say so myself.. thanks for your help guys..
Hey There... I'm really concerned that you're ultimately going to loose your plants without some consistant, basic ventilation... In my opinion (I'm not an expert), I think it's stressing your plants way too much on a daily basis if you let the heat and humidity build up... You'd be doing your plants a great service if there's any chance that you can put a small fan in there and provide some way to vent (even a hole at the top) the heat and humidity out... Ideally, you'd want to keep the plants happy with 40-50% humidity when vegging and 20-30% when budding... Temp ideally would be between 70-90 degrees F (27-32 C?).
it kinda also looks like to me that your plants are stetching for the light.. if you can get your heat problem fixed I woudl try moving the light closer to your plants by a few inches or so... but thats just from my observation and I am no expert.
The heat is fine now, its 25c humidity 40 50, It was 28 30c, i have always had air holes in the tent and a extractor wich is on constantly. Plus a fan, but this wasnt enough... i have had to leave the tent door open to let the air circulate.. The plants are doin fine now...... Thanks for the help
It is also not a bad idea, if you dont have one, to have a fan blowing across your plants during some part of the day. The ones I have used have a sweeping motion thatll cover the entire room. It help the strength of the plant and may help yah out.
Maybe, you need to put it in a bigger pot, my friends pot plant was doing the same thing, moved it to a 5gallon bucket its doing find, n growin like hell..
