Hello everyone, I would really like some help for my poor plant. - Soil, FFOF from seed, uncut. - Indoors - Nirvana Northern Lights Autoflower - 8 Weeks from seed, 4 weeks from beginning of flower. - CFL 250 watts for 2 plants approx spread across 24 watt bulbs, 2700k for flowering. Only one plant is ill. - 2-5 inches from light - I gave them quarter dose grow big during week 6, 1 tbslp molasses + quarter dose tiger bloom + half dose big bloom during week 7. Towards the end of week 7 I was advised that they had nitrogen stress (slight clawing) so I flushed without pHing the water (stupid, I know, but I was in a rush) on week 7 day 5. By week 7 day 6 they were fine, but by week 7 day 7 this plant started drooping. In the evening of week 7 day 7 I watered, measured run off and it was strong basic (8.0) so I flushed with pH'd water. It is now week 8 day 1 and no improvement, plus the leaves are browning. - Temps are 65-75 constant. No way to tell humidity but I live in a dry, northern climate. It's been average so I don't think its a problem. - 2.5 gallon - No bugs other than mosquitoes and moths which are native to the area. They do not really affect the plant. What type of medium; soil or hydro? What brand and type of soil? Indoors or outdoors? What strain? How old are the plants? What type of lights and how many watts? How far from the lights? What is your watering frequency and source of water? What, how much and when was it fed? NPK? What is the medium/runoff pH and PPM if in hydro? What are the temps and humidity in the room? What size pots? Any bugs? Look real close. Any other pertinent info?
With a run-off ph of 8 the plants would be slipping in Phosphorus, Iron, Sulfur Mn, and Copper, and locking out Zinc.
It might've been higher, I'm using color testers unfortunately because I'm on a budget but the indicator was dark green.
QUOTE - Nirvana Northern Lights Autoflower COMMENT - Low smell strain of NL crossed with Ruderalis QUOTE- 8 Weeks from seed, 4 weeks from beginning of flower. COMMENT -Oh really so why is your leaf margin's curling, way way to dry, get a gauge to read your RH...urgent QUOTE- No bugs other than mosquitoes and moths which are native to the area. I'll leave my opinion on your Ph to others, needless to say adding any of that shit will screw any and all Ph readings Don't get me wrong, I am impressed that you got so far with a Ruderalis cross plant, had you stayed with a typical Indica / Sativa cross ..then yes you may consider keeping her going for another month or so
I tested the pH about 5 hours ago before I went out to buy dinner stuff. I pH'd a small cup of water, then poured it into the pot, gathering the runoff directly into the sample flask (before it even hit the runoff tray) and sampled 3 times with my color indicator. All 3 times it was between 6.5 - 7.0 so it seems the flush worked. However, the plants haven't improved. What should I do now? Please help I am very concerned.
There is not much I can advise upon, except you need to make sure your nutes have Mn, that is what appears to cause the browning of the leaves, and check the ph run-off each and every time you water to keep plant corrected.
So should I add nutes to my next watering? Anyone else want to contribute? Please I need some sort of direction for treatment here. They still look stressed but it doesn't appear to have gotten worse. I would like some way to help them though!
Anything I should be doing specifically now that I've balanced the pH of the soil (I think)? The runoff appears to be in the correct pH range now.
