Drooping after transplant

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by GrowSmith, Jun 16, 2019.

  1. Transplanted Monday (watered2L)
    was fine on Tuesday
Wednesday came I found the plants dropping so initial thought was plant shock
CoCo was also dry so give them both a water with Nutrients 1L each this time
    6.5PH

Thursday there has been growth also but still both look upset

This is my first grow indoors

    Any help would be appreciated

Currently running at 400watt on HID
    Average temp 25-27

I later found out my PH pen was out so I got that calibrated and get both 2L each but I’ve woke up to no real change. Roots were slightly exposed when I watered and they looked good with small hairs all over them I covered the roots back over

  3. Are you in Coco/perlite ?
Coco with good drainage (perlite needs to be wet all the time (evryday waterings) your plants could be over watered or not enough when they hang like that.
    What is your watering schedule?

  4. I don’t think so, if you check their should be some light off images

I have since read up they should be watered everyday and I’m now following that, but prior it was every other day

They are in 17L felt pots and about 2L gives me some drain off

  5. You want some runoff , but
don't leave it sitting in a bunch of overflow water . give them a few days to cover Im sure you were transplanting with nothing but roots into a new coco median , or maybe not. The roots will take time to recover if they had no soil ball. Keep it simple and don't over analyze it.

  6. Over watering is the hardest habit to change; my system is a flow through SIP (nested containers) which allows the soil to dry but offers the runoff to feed roots that hang between. This gives me a chance to gauge root growth during the three sizes (eight inch to 2 gal to 5 gal) to guide when to upgrade pots.

  7. Yeah I’m going to just treat her like normal and wait, will be a week Monday so I’m hoping for her to pick up this week

  8. Much Better today
What are you feeding (brand) Most people use about 1/2 strengh of what the maker says on label
Use more product they sell more for profit, and you can burn your babies.
I never let my PPM go over 900 in coco, Do you have a PPM pen yet?
Too strong on your nutes and PH flux will be what you need to worry about.
Search for a guy named Ironhead here in the forums, he taught a shitload of dudes to grow in coco.
Im just learning organic soil myself, but I grew coco many yrs ago.
