People shouldn't be surprised, drones are fucked up killing machines. The pilots are so far removed, they are just told to aim at human shaped characters on a video screen and then to fire. So far removed.. if the pilots were put in a room full of people they would have killed without a second thought, and the pilots were told to take a knife and stab each person to death, I bet they couldn't do it. Forget drones, they fight unjust wars for oil/profit/resources. Drones or not makes no difference to a lot of these people, not trying to take away from what youve said because I agree with all of it. I get how they are not directly exposed to the violence, which makes it much easier to kill other human beings indiscriminately. But the drone program is a small factor in these occupations, look at their civilian death tool, over 1 mill in Iraq alone, most of those soldiers are fucked in the head in the first place to be able to go out of your way to another human beings house and hurt that person or the person's family. A lot of it has to do with how these soldiers are conditioned to view them, they view as anything but an individual person with individual thoughts and opinions, because thats not as easy, as slapping a label on em so its much easier to kill that mother fucker, because hes brown, because hes culture is weird, he doesnt eat the same food, hes language sounds retarded, hes not civilized, some dirty monkey...you get the point. The arrogance needed to able to do what they do is staggering. And its scary, what happens to a human who is not allowed to fully develop, instead the mind is manipulated and shaped early on to accept the necessary conditions to carry out evil heartless shit. /rant. This is so true. This is why we always have derogatory nicknames for the ppl of the country we are in. Nam was Charlie, Korean war zipper heads, Somalia they were called Skinny's, Iraq and I think Afgan they call them Hagee or Sand people. Always trying to make them less human.
