145 in my foxbody (driving and filming) Unknown top speed in my friends Keith Black 69 Camaro SS. Speedo stopped at 120 and it ran tens on motor so i figure 15 seconds of gut wrenching torque is wayyy up there. It's eerie watching a 120 speedo bounce forever and you just keep going.
Governors fuck everything up. Must remove... one of the last times I drove over a hundred recently was in a 2.0 turbo kia sportage.... 133mph
Went 100 in a 94 Civic on a twisty ass road because someone was tailgating. That car grips the road so well its amazing. My bands singer has a late 90's/ early 00's mustang and Its ugly as hell but makes up for it when your cruising the back roads at 85 and going 100 on the strait ways. Thats just normal driving. We were done practicing for the day and the singer was driving our bassist was riding shotgun and I was in the back and we found the straitest stretch of road and he floored it and we hit 130 before we started slowing down. We took turns at about 80 too. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
My friends stock Gtr, with new tires during winter. Not on the track On the track I think I've done more in my car but no way to prove it.
I'll preface this with the fact that this was over 10 years ago when I was a young dumb street racer. 01 Suzuki gsx-r 600 I did 152. 91 3000gt VR4. 140 in 4th gear while it was stock. Now has 450 AWHP 03 Mitsubishi Evo 8 according to Mitsubishi 155 when I lost control 147 when I hit the tree
I'm probably the slowest dude Fastest I ever went towing was about 60/65 mph as to not have a load shift or a tire blow. Fastest I've driven my truck was about 80 in a 70 passing someone. Shimmy's after 70 Now me not driving? I've been in my friends Explorer down the grapevine with bald ass tires doing 120+ that was scary as all fuck. Also went 120 in a Yukon Denali. No I wouldn't attempt either
Have you been on the Autobahn?? It's depressing. They have big bill boards showing pictures of ppl who died on the spot.
Over 100 in some model of Citroen. I was 13/14 at the time so obviously wasn't driving. It was on a twisty country road which was icy so I was scared af the whole time. The guy spun out once but luckily at was at a pretty open bit of road and there was no other traffic. Tbh when I got in the car I wasn't expecting this. It's made me realize that driving at ridiculous speeds is something that should be left to the track.
I'll basically drive as fast as the car lets me without falling apart, most of my cars don't have working speedometers but here's some that have. 92 NT DSM - 225kmh(car was stripped to 2 seats and a dash and had built trans + motor work) 95 Turbo DSM - 210kmh(has a fully built motor but trans hates overdrive) 92 180sx SR20DET - unknown but when I passed people it looked like they were driving backwards(fully built track car 400+whp) 92 Mercedes 500sel - 240kmh had instructions to put more air in the tires when going above 260kmh(built for autobahn haha), used too much gas to take anywhere 99 Volvo S70 - 190kmh - Governed but barely tried at those speeds.
