Dresser Build

Discussion in 'Grow Room Design/Setup' started by SaHt420, Sep 21, 2018.

  1. I'm Building a somewhat stealth dresser grow.

    The dimensions are
    Height=40"
    Width=26"
    Depth=15"

    I plan to scrog at 22" with 19" above that
    I sort of need the heat so I am gonna run a 150w hps
    I know a qb led would be much better for overall yield but it is starting to turn winter the heat will help.
    Now I want to use a carbon filter with a 4" inline fan exhaust and haven't found anything for intake yet.

    Will the height restrict me from using a 150w hps or would it be better to scrog lower?
    Any help appreciated thanks.

    Will post pics in a little bit

  2. do you already have the 150w HPS.?

    you will just have to experiment with screen height,
    get a container (or 2 if you want 2 plants) that fills the 15x26" space as much as possible and is only 8" tall,
    and set the screen at 18", this will give you 10" of branching room under the screen,
    that will allow 10" for the light, and give you 12'' of bud height.!

    you can do a concave screen, lower in the middle and a little higher on the sides to kinda "wrap around' the bulb.!!

  3. No I don't have the hps will it work with the height restrictions

    Smart idea with the concave scrog

    I know a qb would be ideal but again will a 150w hps work successfully remember I will be putting a carbon filter in

  4. you would be 2-10 times happier with the QB's.!!
    you can make anything work, but if heat is your only reason for going with HPS......
    then get a fan controller and turn the inline down when it gets cold and the QB's will keep the girls warm.!!
