So Ive never really grown anything indoors til now i have everything i need to get started. I germinated and then planted them in the party cups and poked holes in the bottom for draining, but the water is just staying on the top???? any help would be appreciated
im just guessing but is ur soil a very rusty lightish brown kinda color? if so u could be dealing with soil that has alot of clay did u get it from ur yard or are u usign bag soil? only other suggestion i have make the holes bigger or take out the soil u have in the cups and add some more soil and dont pack it in there just fill it lightly so ur soils not all compacted and has better air flow
it could just be running down the side of the cups. try pushing some soil up against the edges so you kind of make a little bowl shape. Then take a spray bottle and use that to water and that will distribute the water more evenly.
