This is gonna seem like a stupid question but I have a 3 gallon standard clay pot with the hole on the bottom for drainage and everything but I put my pot directly on a plate so that water would not get on the floor, since the bottom of the pot is flat on top of the plate will the water be stuck in the pot becasue the water has no way to get out??
If would probably still drain out, but just not as fast. Get something to raise the pot: like some of those free home depot paint stirring sticks and stick them under your pot.
