Grow Space: Secret Jardins DR60 Grow Tent Light Source: 3 42 watt 55k CFLS, 400 HPS Medium Source: Fox Farms Ocean Forest to Promix BX Sex : Feminized Type : Indica, Sativa, Runderalis Flowering : Autoflowering Genetics : Automatic AK47 x Lowryder #2; F1 Flowering Time : Short, Medium Outdoor Harvest : 7 weeks from seed Height : Short THC Level : Unknown Characteristics : Large yielding feminized autoflowering dwarf strain Easy Rider AKA Lowryder #2 x AK47 This is an f1 cross between a Lowryder #2 and an automatic AK47 in which the two parents strongly exhibit their best genetic traits: high resin production, the fruity aroma (of a carefully selected Lowryder #2 phenotype), and the size and branching of the AK47 automatic. This poly-hybrid is fully auto-flowering and matures in 70-75 days from germination, reaching optimal size if given enough light (intensity and time). The best conditions are 20 hours of light and 4 of dark during the entire cycle. Outdoors the best time is may-august, but it's easy to do multiple cycles per season, until November.
Hey man. Just wanted to drop by and say I grew some of these easyryder and Lowlife's equivalent. I thought the EasyRyder was the better of the 2 plants. Think you're going to love this one. Just make sure you give them enough root space or they'll punish you! Also the 7week flower time from seed is a bit mesleading. I would personally count down 56 days from point of flower. That's a much more accurate guage to harvest. G'luck .
Thank you for the Great advice. But this is my 4th Run with Autos. I have done LR2 and EasyRyders Before. And they are great plants if you would like some great dank for yourself. And yes Flippa you are correct. Do not give any room for the roots to go, and it will Punish you. As you see from the 2 plants I am doing, one has hit that Road. I dont know why or what but the roots bundled up in 1 corner of the pot and said FU! Also there was terrible Drainage in the Solo Cup. I think the soil was too hard.....
April 1st 2010 Transplanted Both Plants to there Final home. 1 gallon Buckets. The smaller one of the 2 is a mixture of FFOC, Top Soil, and perilite. The bigger plant I started in FFOC Mix, and now am using Promix BX I am hoping that the mix is ok and it will do fine. I know Promix is a easier Blend to play with. So we will see what happens.
I'm subbing this one! I have some Easy Rider beans as well. I'm going to be using FoxFarms Ocean Farm mixed with Happy Frog and the 3 nute pack. Can't wait to see this grow out.
hey Vett. I think FFOC is a Very Hott Soil. If I was new to growing and doing these Autos, I would Recommend a Soiless Mix. That way you can regulate the PH easy, and you know what is going in and out. I have 1 of each. the small plant is FFOC and the Bigger is Pro-mix BX. As you see the difference. It speaks for iteself.
Hey Dr, Great looking plants. Thanks for the heads up w/ the "hot soil". Would some lime bring up the pH a bit? I already potted the seeds and hoping they pop in a day or so. Like I say, I'll be watching your grow for lots of tips on how to improve! -CT
Im already having issues with my FFOC. Transplanted the baby and she has wanted to almost die. Im trying to save her as we speak. Lime is good But would have mixed it before I planted the seeds. I always mix my soil first then run water, get it to where I want, then Plant the seed. So that way I know Im correc.t But as you see from the pictures later on tonite. I am having issues.
Ah... Sorry man. Didn't mean to patronise. Just saw your number of posts and thought those pots you started your autos in were dangerously small and likely to stunt the plants. These autos are quite weird... I've had ones which just don't grow right... found the feminised blueberry kept producing hermies! The AKs were great.. no hermies.. all female. BUT they suffered from autos that didn't germ right. So I kept mine in 3.5litre pots to start with. Picked the best 6 out of 10 feminised. And then moved those girlies upto 6.5 litre pots as soon as they sexed up. My last auto grow was my first grow under LED and I realised that by adding in some horticultural CFLs... I could comfortably match my results with HPS. Autos are great. Just wish they were more reliable. The pros outweigh the cons. Just as LED is my absolute favourite way to grow now even if it isn't as easy to grow with as HPS to get optimal results. Good luck man!! And sorry for sounding know it all. I didn't mean to come across that way. I am learning just like the next man. Partic. with all this new technology . Peace! PS I just spotted you are using a 400w HPS and have the same tent as me! Don't you find it gets rather hot with a 400watter? My 250watter scared me (it got that hot). I did not dare use my 400w. You're a braver man than me (unless you are using cooltube)!
April 2nd 2010 Fed the Big Bitch today. She looked Hungry. So I gave her a nice feed. The other little Runt has and is giving me issues. My wife says to throw it out But I will dare to do that. I flushed her with a gallon of 10.43 PH water. To bring up the PH since it was well under 5.0 PH. I hope that she comes out of the shell and blows up. As you see from the poor lighting I have, The under Canopy of the Bigger plant is not getting efficent light. I think I am going to throw in the HPS. Even tho I dont have the room, I am going to use it. I cant stand to watch another great plant go to waste because of light. So guys be prepared for one day mb tonite.. that hps is up. Plant Nute Feed: 15 ML of Grow Big, 20 ML of Big Bloom, @ 6.43PH and 1000 PPM. Plant Flush Water: 25 ML of GH Ph Up, @ 1 Gal of Water @ 10.4 PH
All good. I have a weak 55 watt LED Panel and some cfls, I just dont know why this plant is having issues, I think it is nute lock out with Bad PH. I flushed today so hopeing tomms he will be better. FIngers Crossed!
Great looking plants! I'll be watchin closely as this set up and grow is similar to mine. I wish the best of luck and send all the good vibes I got bro!
APRIL 5TH 2010 Hey guys G-Thumb is back, Well Weekends are killer here, as Im gone. I have been waiting to get my new charger for my camera. And Finally got it. So I will have some Updated pix for you guys. Plants have been doing well. I had some extra time the other night, So I put up the HPS Light. Temps are a little on the high side, But I am getting passed it. I had to Add 1 extra PC Fan, and my Booster Fan By Hydro farm broke. So I had to rig up a old fan to pull the hot air. I dont have a Exhaust line on the HPS so that is why Temps are high. As you see from the PLants, the LIttle one already started to flower, and is just doing its own thing. I dont think this Pheno had any Great Genetics. I wont be Buying anymore Autos Unless I find something worth My wild. Plant #1 Nute Feed: 15 ML of Grow Big, 25 ML of Big Bloom, @ 6.43PH and 1200 PPM. Plant #2 Nute Feed: 7ML of Grow Big, 10ML of Big Bloom, @ 10.43 PH and 300 PPM Plant #1 Runoff was 6.10 PH @ 700 PPM ----- 6.43 PH @ 1500 PPM Plant #2 Runoff was 5.96 PH @ 300 PPM ----- 6.23 PH @ 700 PPM
