Double In-Line Fans

  1. Has anyone tried to double up case fans (computer fans) to increase flow? By this, I mean the same concept that inboard/outdrive boat motors use with dual-inline props to create propulsion. Obviously they rotate in opposite directions to counterbalance the centrifugal force, but this wouldn't be an issue in a grow room.

I want to cool things down a couple more degrees and am entertaining this idea. I don't want to have to cut new holes, add ducting, etc., so this seems like a reasonable solution. I'm not sure how much increased suction/pull it would add though.

    Thoughts?

  2. try it out and let us know what you find. or tell me more of detail (ie. picture, drawing) and i can maybe try it. i wanted to get more computer fans in teh next couple days.

  3. I use 2 6" inline fans for my heat exhaust and carbon scrubber. One fan before the carbon and one after, it works great!
