You can fill out a hardware survey to get a Dota 2 invite now. Everyone I know that has filled out the survey got access to DotA 2 in less than a month. I don't know what dota lod is, but I'm assuming you mean Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction which was released about 10 years ago and isn't even the same type of game as Dota, Dota 2, LoL or HoN.
