It would take the profits out of the hands of the drug dealers, so there would be less violent drug related crimes, and it would do wonders for the economy, and we would stop spending billions putting pot heads in our overcrowded prisons, plus its wrong to put someone in prison for smoking cannabis
and salvia doesn't come in "grades" in comes in extracts, 10x just means its extract 10 times as potent as salvia foliage

This stops the government from having the market share.
Stops them from taking revenue, which can only be a good thing.

Prices and quality would improve.
Socially we would be a calmer and more relaxed people.

I don't agree with you there. First of all if the government did legalize marijuana and somehow made weed weaker.. why? how would the government profit from selling low THC strands of marijuana only to send people looking for good weed back to dealers. It would be a total oxymoron if they legalize marijuana and sell weak weed because their trying to reduce the street crimes and drug dealers. Why would less drug dealers be bad? Think about how many more people would focus on school and getting a career and not killing people cuz of weed. If it was legalized then it would be more a hipyy like drug where people just enjoy the presence of marijuana and just enjoy thinking deeply bout the world and shit. No one would get shot over a bad drug deal either...

Its decriminalized in colorado and its a still a fucking pain in the ass if you get caught with it. I spent my weekend in a substance abuse class for getting a weed ticket. I bet that if it was legalized the quality would not go down at all. I think it would actually get better because labs could get huge amounts of funding to develope new strains. Look at the medical side of it, med buds are usually really good quality. There would also be different weed growers like there are cig companies. This would cause competition and produce some amazing weed at a good price.

Name one thing that the government dosent rip the arse out of with tax?
No one could afford to compete with the government and this would phase out most larger scale grow operations=more revenue for the arseholes in power.
Decriminalizing leaves things a little more open, and i would far prefer to sit in a classroom for a weekend then jail for a few months.

If Pot was legal right now I would'nt be on probation,I would'nt have to goto AA meetings 3 times a week, I would not have to get naked and piss in a cup twice a week, I would'nt attend court every 2 weeks, I would'nt have a felony Pending on my record. and Over all the evil MONEY I have lost over $5,000 over a 33g bag !

Well, if it were legal, people could have HUGE fields in the open and use modern large scale farming equipment to grow/harvest it. And with a bigger supply, prices would go down! And I dont know what you mean by "compete with the government", do you think the government would be growing it or something? Because if they were, they would need to tax it, because they would be getting all the money anyway. You make no sense man.

 

Why would the government sell weak weed?
If you think corporations are trying to save you from getting too fucked up - uh, no.
Look at 'Everclear' for Alcohol.
If they'll allow the selling of near-lethal beverages I think they'll have no problem selling overly potent marijuana.

 

the Gov. should start a program where anyone over 21 is allowed to have 2 plants for personal consumption.......in other words, you only smoke if you grow. no money, no crime, only self satisfaction.

 

But what about the people who are too lazy to grow?
Wouldn't the growers just sell to them, thus re-entering the illegal trade market?

 

Then you get your "2 plant" privilage taken away from you as well as heavy fines and/or probation (after all you're making extra money) ...

PS: I would up it to 5 plants to enable a decent stash. I read here that cali has up to 99 plants for some individuals.

 

i mean the gov prob would take over it, but that doesnt stop u from growing right, so u can buy the government crap or go grow ur own with no worries.. that means plenty of outdoor weed... firstly medicinal legalization is needed, i remember a while ago my grandmother had breast cancer.. she decided to stop chemo he second year as it was doin nuthin to help her.. he appetite was completely gone.. i believe she couldnt eat beef, dairy products, and etc... all she would eat where fruits.. she lived in md, meaning kno med cannabis, and she suffered till her death.. i would do anything to get med marijuana out there and legal in all states.
