If the little white hairs on them are turing a brown/red color, they are ripe and ready to be dried properly and cured (assuming u know how to do that stuff).
Smok3ys got it too, when the hairs are 75% amber color, thats a good harvest time, but i prefer to harvest when the trichs are amber, because sometimes the hairs are still white/yellow/orange while the trichs are still clear ( not ready, not potent enough) http://www.overgrow.com/growfaq/12
