The Daily Record - 12 May, 05 A DOG had to be put into 'detox' at the vet's after he ate a stash of cannabis he found in the park. Collie cross Sam's owner thought he had been poisoned when he started staggering around as if he was drunk. Lee Kimber, 34, took her pet straight to the vet, who told her: 'Your dog's stoned.' Sam found the drugs in Dalmuir Park, near Clydebank, Glasgow, last Tuesday. Lee said: 'I was really worried. I thought he must have eaten something poisonous 'He had been playing in the bushes like he usually does and I spotted him eating something but didn't think anything of it. 'About an hour after we came home, Sam started staggering. He looked drunk. 'The vet did some tests and said he was stoned. I couldn't believe it. 'Sam was kept at the surgery for a few hours. He ended up having to stay until 6pm because he was still out of it. 'He didn't get the munchies. He was totally off his food for days. 'I was so worried about him but thankfully he's been OK since. 'I was also concerned that kids could have found the drugs and done the same thing
