dog anxiety

Broj... my dog does this too! Except the peeing part, she just always trips balls when I leave dogs man...

 

Kennel train your dog. It is the best thing you can do for both of you. Anxiety won't be an issue if you do this.

 

So stop running?

 

Can be a tough cycle to break, especially b/c it's against their nature to separate from their loved ones/friends..They are pack animals. Even if it's just you 2, you guys are a pack. Hopefully you are the pack leader. Which makes it even harder for her b/c she looks to you for guidance, love, and ultimately, her survival. She thinks she will not survive while you are gone. Take it as a sign of love.
But it sounds like she could use more exercise. Just playing doesn't cut it. She needs long walks(hr+) and runs. If she takes a dump, she obviously had it in her system, and needs some exercise to get her system going, get out all the shit. Tire her out with a nice long walk before you leave. Sometimes it's hard to make time for I know, but trust me, she needs it, and if she's exhausted, she will sleep off the anxiety and eventually it will disappear. Plus she probably won't crap b/c she will not have to.

TLDR; Exercise is the key to a happy dog. Trust me.

And did you say you were on the run for 4 months? Without her? Well she could also think that you bounced for 4 months last time, next time you leave it's forever.

 

When you come home don't look at her or play with her for 10 mins or until she calms down. Dog Whisperer over here.

 

Get a second dog! She feels scared, lonely and abandoned every time you leave. A second dog will give her "someone to talk to".
