i have a girlfriend, and i leave chilling early sometimes but i always make time for both. BUT...i don't know how serious he is but i'll leave this wisdom with you: when you have one of your own (if you ever want/get one) that means a lot to you, you'll know why they do it. but if he's just chasing ass trying to get some sex constantly, then he's a douche anyway - stop hanging out with him. if she means a lot to him and someone else entered his life other than you - cry about it, don't you have more friends?
I got a friend who's similar. We were supposed to hang out Friday night. I called him and he was like "Dude, I'm tired, can we hang out Sunday?" I knew what his Sunday plans were, he had to work in the monring then do yard work after that. It'd be the same story Sunday as it was Friday. So I havn't even bothered calling him. He hasn't called me or come over. There are three things that has also stopped him from coming over. He can't smoke at my house, his girlfriend, he has to work the next day, or he's too tired. It's taken me over a month before to get him to come over to my house and chill. It's not because he's actually busy. It's because he's lazy. The only reason I would be able to get him to come over without any excuse would be my birthday. Which is a week from tuesday. However I'm not going to invite him because I'm tired of his shit. On the flipside I used to (not much anymore) go over to his place all the time to chill. Right after work, or on a night where I have to work the next day. Which for me isn't fun anymore. As I'm not hanging out with him, I'm just the odd one out since his girlfriend is ALWAYS there. I don't mind hanging out with her from time to time as she's pretty chill. But I'm not really there to hang out with her, or just be the guy sittin on the couch watching TV becase they're making out.
DP does have a girlfriend. I use to do this with my friends when I was younger. I would drop them the second I had a boyfriend and just hang out with him and his friends all the time. In retrospect, I wouldn't have done that. I would have split my time. I went on to love 4 other times and have many sexual relationships along the way, I didn't need to be so selfish with my own time. I would have gotten more out of my young adult life if I would have split my time. ^ my non-high response.
I have a GF who I have been with for 5 years now. I never ditched anyone of my friends to hang out with her, she always understands. Besides that, they love her to hang out because we dont act like GF.bf types, were just pretty chill and love to talk to people together. Anyway, my best friend who has been with me through everything started ditching me and my GF, or even if its just me. Hes been chasing some girl whos been playing with his head. I mean he cancels plans all the time, or doesnt call to say hes not coming out with us. Recently, Friday night, he was really drunk and decided to drive over to my house. Anyway, he somehow gets past the guard at the gate and comes to my house screaming and in tears all worked up because the girl fucked him over big time and went out with another guy. So who was there to comfort him??? Me and my GF!!!....I told him also how I felt about the whole situation and how hes been treating me and carlee. I hope he woke up and realized he could possibly loose a best friend and a really good friend over 1 girl who has already fucked him over. But to reply to your situation, I say just call him and ask him whats the deal, and tell him its kind of hurtin your feelings because he keeps ditchin you. Either he'll really think hard about it and care, or he'll mumble through it and not care.
I know what you mean. This one kid I hang out with, we would always hang out during passing time between classes, but since he got a gf the only time you see him is if he is in your class. He still can't turn down the bud when you bust it out around him.
