im totally new to this hole growing thing so i figured i would give it a shot. but my plant is insanely tall(ok so its only 3 and a half inches tall) with 4 leaves and it keeps growing now im sure this is a dumb question and its doing find im just worried. and maybe some comments on what i should do next.
looks like its stretching towards the light. bring the lights closer to the plant and it will stop stretching so much. at least thats my guess
well thats what happened to my plant, you can try to stake it, put something in the dirt and loose tie the stem to it so it doesnt break under its own weight.
yeah that is definately stretched put something up to help support it. Also make sure its getting plenty of light during the day.
The clear cups are not a good thing to grow in, Roots like it dark. This really is a good thing in this case though because when you transplant into a better container, YOu can plant them deeper than they are now. My choice at this stage would be some OPAQUE keg cups (Solo cups - 16 oz) with several holes bored in the bottom for drainage. Add some soil to the bottom, turn out your seedlings and set the root ball on top, then fill in all around with fresh soil about half way up that spindly stem. They Definitely need more light. If you have them on a window sill, try to open the windows during the warmer parts of the day. I've heard that window panes absorb a lot of the sunlight.
