She is 18 days old from planting seed into Rapid rooter. The humidity has been between 50-65% temps have been a steady 72-77 degrees. She is Deadhead OG and I am doing DWC, I started a fraction of what the label said for nutrients last week and just changed the water today and added a little bit more nutrients. It has almost 3 gallons of distilled Ph’d water (steady 5.8-6.3) I put 2 doses of 1/4 tsp of flora micro, flora gro, and flora bloom, and 2 mls of Hydrogaurd and 2 mls of Cal Mag plus in the buckets earlier today. That spot just showed up today before I changed the water. She has been growing pretty quickly since I started the nutes but now this spot has got me baffled. I’ve looked all over the internet but can’t find a definite answer and was hoping someone on here might have experienced this. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
What do the young roots look, feel, and smell like? What temps do you have in your reservoir? Are you using air stones? I could be wrong, (so take what I say with a grain of salt lol), but it looks like something that may have been caused by root issues due to reservoir temps, the plant not getting enough oxygen, or perhaps even light leaks. Sometimes certain thick, dark nutes stick to young roots so much, they slowly drown them. If this ain't the issue, then at least you can cross that out as a potential culprit.
Bucket temps running 71.6 degrees, the roots look good no bad smells, using medium airstone.I’ve got her and two others under a 600 watt full spectrum LED light roughly 24” above the canopy. The other two look good and running same nutes and everything else. This literally just popped up and she just starting thriving (so I thought). There appears to be plenty of bubbles but maybe I need more just so worried because she was doing so good then bam that weird spot showed up Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum

It's a long shot, but by any chance, do you think a drop of nute solution may have accidentally fell on the edge of the leaf?
That is a probability from when I was checking the Ph it probably dropped off the end of the ph meter and onto the leaf edge (just like the clay pellets) I always try to be crazy careful and was wondering how I was even getting it on the clay pellets I just saw the spot and freaked. Thanks y’all! Can she heal from that or did I totally mess it up? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Naw that's nothing to worry about. It's just going to affect that one spot. You're plant will be fine.
Thank you! I freaked out and then someone mentioned the nutrient and it was almost a duh moment! Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Good eye. I hadn't notice it was just below the leaf too. No problem. At least you caught it early and solved the mystery.
