So would a quality name brand bong (roor, toro, ehle, ille) that's only say 3.5 or 4mm thick be the equivalent of a cheap china 5mm bong?

  2. this is not considered a complete thought.

Slow down, and carefully type out what you are trying to ask us.

  3. Yah..not sure what you mean. But I don't fuck with thin glass, even if it has some "high quailty" brand name on it. The thicker the glass the better, but that's just the way I feel.

  4. In all honest 4mm is pretty damn durable if treated right and the welds are clean.

  5. Kush Scientific 5 mm Schott Duran glass does make a difference. Hence why I shall be getting one very soon.

  6. lol majority of glassblowers use 5mm, its standard heavy wall. Toro uses it for sure unless its 38mm or smaller were its only made in 4mm at its thickest

  7. Haha well compared to my ADS which I think is about 3-4 mm all around, 5 mm sounds almost bullet proof. Guess I should know more before I post, sorry about that.
I just thought 5mm from an American glass company was supposed to be pretty sturdy and be worth the price.

  8. There's to much emphasis on the quality of the glass.

It's the mentality difference between a casual smoker, and someone that looks at glass as a serious hobby where every minute detail is extremely important.

That being said, I'm still curious what the fuck OP was trying to ask.

I hope he wasn't having a stroke while typing this out.

  9. So kliff, I am looking at a Kush Scientific Type 1 gridded puck with worked sections, I would post a direct link but I don't think that is allowed.
    Here is everything listed:

    Kush Scientific "Fire/Teal/Yellow" Type1 Puckline w/ 105 holes
    20.5" Tall
50x5mm Schott Duran Glass made in Germany
Kush Scientific Type1 38mm Gridded Puckline with Millenium Moss gridding. Worked top. 105 Holes total.
19mm German "High Flow" Joint with matching colors
19mm Stock Ice Pinch Slide made with German "Lenz" Technology
    Yellow Mouthpiece
    Kush Scientific Black Label
    Made in Northern California

on Chico Kush, seem like a good $500 purchase? (not meaning to thread jack, just looking for glass knowledge)

  10. I have a 3.2mm Weedstar. I have tipped it over countless times, broke 3 A/C's, 2 downstems and a handfull of slides while they were on it, and the fucking thing doesn't have a single crack or chip on it so....go figure.

  11. 500 is fine for that. Since it has worked sections that will always raise the price.

My LH has unworked kush pucks for 350.

I'm sure you can haggle the guy down by 50 bucks though.

  12. It's on the internet so I don't think I can haggle, I would feel bad messaging Kush Scientific on facebook "Hey do you think I could purchase the DeadHead for 450?" haha

  13. lol yeah, then thats the set price.

Plus 20 something bucks for shipping.

Idk. If its on Facebook Isnt it worth a try?

  15. Go for it but they're an online HS, they're not gonna haggle with you.

  16. I know what you mean, yes company names use better glass. It's borosilicate glass apparently, so clank an illadelph with a one of those china pieces then you have you're decision

  17. Figures... Oh well it's a great tube with a beautiful perc and beautiful worked sections
