Does the doctor choose the strain you are able to have?

    Hey everyone I just got back from seeing a dr in nj and he said I will be able to be prescribed medical for my seizure disorder. I need to visit him 2 more times then he said at the end of May I will be able to go to the dispensary. Only question I have is he kept saying I was gonna get charlottes web and I realize that charlottes web is low on thc and I'd rather a different strain.. Is this just a suggestion or does he actually get to choose which strain I get? Can I choose a different one at the dispensary?

    This doctor knows that Charlotte's Web is famous for its anti-seizure properties. They do not get to pick your strain and you shouldn't have to see him 3 times. Sounds like they're money sucking you or are weeding you out as a "non-medical" user. The above mentioned strain has been thrown all over the media for repressing seizures and the doctor is just trying to get you to get the best product for your illness.

    Thanks for the quick response.. Yea doctor said next visit which is next week we get to do the paper work then ill have to wait til end of May for the confirmation visit and the prescription.. So next week should I tell him that I've been reading up and it says I shouldn't need another visit for the prescription? It doesn't really matter to me much cuz im not paying for the visits but if I can save my dad some money he's helping me with that's always a plus..

    I'm sure it's some bizarre rule your state has about using medical marijuana. Here in Cali you just show up with an ID, fill out reams of paperwork, fork over some cash and walk out with your rec. I didn't even have to see the doctor last time.

    Yea I think things are a lot different and stricter here in nj.. During the appointment he was using a tape recorder too I'm guessing to send to the place it needs to be accepted. He seemed like a nice guy. I just really hope him mentioning charlottes web over and over doesn't mean that he prescribed me a certain strain that he thinks will be best for my condition and I won't be able to choose whatever I want cuz I want something with a lot more thc in it. lol

    Cannatonic is a good mix thc an cbd there are several others also. Maybe a 1 to 1 ratio of thc an cbds would work for you.
