I've been watering her using a spray bottle. I'm trying not to dampen off the cup is not fully light but I am worried that the amount of water I'm adding is not reaching the roots. What do you think? This is Day 5 Girl scout cookies. Ts600. Super soil. 20210822_183917.jpg 20210822_183917.jpg 20210822_183917.jpg

  2. Looks good . Put your finger in the soil. Is the soil moist ? If so your great .

  3. It's not wet. Not dry. I would say slightly moist.

  4. Don’t worry bud. If the soil is moist the roots will find the water. I would lightly moisten once when you wake up and before bed and you’ll be golden.

  6. She looks like she's getting yellow. Low Nitrogen. Which is not normal at the stage where the cotyledons are still that green. Are you wetting the leaves with the spray bottle? You shouldn't. best to just water the soil. Are there any nutrients in the soil? A lot of seedling mixes don't contain nutes. It's good, but it means you need to add some later. Don't go too much tho. A light organic fert will be all it needs.

Here's three days on a GSC Auto.

  7. I just transplanted her to final pot last night. She is growing but not looking too good. I wonder if she she has been getting too much light and wind. Day 8 GSC. 20210826_095431.jpg 20210826_095408.jpg 20210826_095322.jpg

  8. Transplanted with great white and new soil has been cooking.

  9. Looks great. Let her do her thing. Watch for stretch and less is more at this stage.

  10. Update. Got a coupled droplets on her. Added a little Molasses to a light soil misting as I forgot to water after transplant even though soil was hydrated prior to transplant. 20210826_182825.jpg 20210826_182816.jpg

  11. Looks like its not taking up nutrients, yellowing leaves. Are you checking the PH of your water? Is your soil a homebrew or store bought?

  12. The soil that she was in was an organic potting soil with perlite added but at 8 days, is she supposed to be fed? The final pot that she was transferred to has compost and super soil. I have been waiting on my calibration solution to get to me for pH meter. Just came in the mail today. I think you're right about the pH I have been dropping it some but I'm afraid that it's still around 6.8 20210827_090010.jpg -7.5

  13. Bump. Transplant shock? 20210827_181927.jpg

  14. Another possibility is the soil you transplanted into is too hot which now looks like a good possibility. Compost plus Super Soil may be a bit strong for seedlings.

A reputable potting soil usually lists the N-P-K ratios on the bag and I find with seedlings its good for 2-3 weeks without feeding. By then I'm transplanting anyway so feeding doesn't matter to me.

Miracle Grow believe it or not is a fine seedling mix but not good for a full grow. You may be able to save that seedling if you re-pot soon with a good potting soil and soak until run out with 6.3PH water, then let it sit under a light for 7-10 days.

  15. I would mist with a calmag foliar mix also. Ph the water after mixing of course. When i have had them start locking up i like to lower light output and baby them pure ph water. Maybe some super thrive at half strength to promote root growth. Solid base overcomes a ton of foliage issues i find. Just my personal observations. I killed a lot of plants...sigh.

  16. the only thing I am questioning is that the yellowing began before I transplanted. Since I've transplanted, I haven't seen the yellowing get much worse. I added great white for the transplant. And have done a light watering with Cal mag and molasses. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the soil not having enough perlite. When I transplanted it the roots were big and healthy and protruding out of the soil. The light is only a ts600 but when place directly under the center at 30 in I'm wondering if the UV light might have been a little too strong in the center of the light. I have moved the plant from directly center of the light hoping that this will help if it is the light. Along with the other recommendations just provided.

  17. Pure blue is great light or white..but..not a lot. She is stressed. No roots. Too much much light. Just love her and wait her out. We do not win them all and i would germ a couple more in case. I am managing to clone 12 i took from a girl flowering. They are SLOOOOW but gottem past scary part. Cooked ones before on vacation. Just my thoughts.
