does quality determine how fast or slow a joint burn?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by rxy, Jan 28, 2010.

  1. see I got this problem I got 2 types of pot from 2 different people

1st type the joint burns really fast, but when I vaporize it in my vape the vapor is better then the 2nd type of weed that burns really slow, but the vape is not as good as the first. Both get me feeling buzzed but I have to vape the 1st type or the effect is not as good as the second type which the high from the joint is better get it

so does quality burn slower or is it just the way the weed was cured?

  2. Probably just how fresh it is, the longer it's been off the plant and outside of an airtight container, the drier it will be, resulting in a harsh, quick burning joint.
Higher quality buds that tend to be stickier even when cured will smoke slower.
But as long as you're getting blazed then smoke that shit up! :smoking:

  3. It's about the tightness of your joint and the type of papers you use. It also matters if you yse one or two papers and I suppose the dryness of the wee could have an effect of the speed the joint burns at.

  4. thats true i got this bud called blockhead kush from the city in ny,ny I can't even finish the joint before I am good then I got this other bud from staten island ny it looks good but when I grind it up its really fluffy and burns really fast

the blockhead kush is dry its like 2 weeks old

what is blockhead kush that is what the guy said it was is there such a thing

  5. Its a combination of the weed's resin content, how well/much the weed was cured, the density of the weed in the joint (how tight you roll), and the papers you use. For instance I rolled three joints once, all weighing exactly one gram, all smoked down to exactly .2 grams, with a standard 1 1/4 paper, 1 1/4 hemp paper, and 1/ 1/4 plant cellulose (clear trip brand papers); and the cellulose paper burned for almost twice as long as the regular paper. I don't remember the exact times but as close as I remember was: standard paper - 8 mins, hemp paper - 11 mins, and cellulose paper - 15 mins.

  6. If it is fresh and sticky its gonna burn slow, if its dry and well... dry, its gonna burn fast.

  7. dont hotbox your joint, and put a good twist on it with a 1.5.

    ;)

  9. STFU and stop acting like a retard. You smoked marijuana, not DMT for christ's sake. And please use punctuation in your posts, it makes them much easier to read.

  10. Fast is subjective
