does physical fitnesseffect tolerance?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by munchymeiser900, Dec 1, 2011.

  1. I have a very fat friend tht smoke everday for yrs and gets high mad easy and another friend tht smokes like once a month and works out like rocky and has a higher tolerance than fatty. I heard tht thc sticks to fat somehow so i thought tht tht might have something to do with it.

  2. Nope. I have skinny muscular friends with tolerances higher than other fat friends  Thc doesn't stick to fat in your body, its metabolites do but they aren't psychoactive.

  3. I don't know.

I don't want to toot my own horn, but I've been working out for a few years and am pretty muscular and in shape. I consider my tolerance completely normal. I quit smoking for a while and came back and I get high pretty easily. I'd smoke a bowl and get ripped at first. Now I fill up my one hitter twice and am at like the perfect amount of stoned.

** my bad; no it doesn't. It just varies person to person, and how they smoke it. Could just be your skinny buddy topshelfs it(lungs), or that your fat friend just knows what to expect and says he is "mad blown" every time he's at the peak high he can reach.

The following is what I THOUGHT the question was, as an answer to does working out reduce tolerance

Yes it does. The more you work out, the quicker turn around THC has in your body. And the more muscle mass you have, the quicker your metabolism, the faster the turn around. If you work out, metabolites (?) of THC in your fat cells will be burned out and excreted in your urine; THC will go away quicker, resulting in a "lower" tolerance.

Usually I work out either every day, or 5 days out of 7. Recently though, for the last month, I've been playing catch up with school, and only gotten to work out once a week. There is a noticeable difference in my highs; atm, they are a bit more muted and don't last as long as they usually have. And my supply hasn't changed; if anything its gotten better as its cured more.

This is a test where the person is kept the same, and working out is the variable. Tolerance varies from person to person very widely.
My natural tolerance is much higher than a skinnier bud of mine, another slightly heavier (more muscle mass as well), and a fat guy.

  5. I have like 8% body fat and my tolerance has always been very low.. never smoked everyday though, I'm a bad example

  6. A 200 pound person gets just as stoned as a 400 pound person.

It is regulated to your neurochemistry, so it does not include factors such as weight.

  7. Strange you call him your "friend" but you call him fat and fatty.
You sound like the worlds worst friend.

  8. Its descriptive; hes fat. plain and simple. Why is it mean?
